This shows the parts for the inner bogie frame separated from the fret. I have done a basic quick clean up to remove the tabs where the parts are attached to the fret, a final tidy up of all the edges will be done once everything is folded and soldered together. The wheels are 3ft 9in fine scale from Home of O Gauge. The only part not shown in this photograph that you will require is a length of brass rod, this is NOT included in the kit. The rod needs to be 2mm dia and is used to mount the compensation brackets for the middle and front axle’s. It is worth checking at this stage that the brass bushes for the axle’s fit in the holes. If you do need to open any of the holes slightly, use a tapered reamer so that the hole remains round. I have never had to do this to any MMP kit yet. The main inner bogie (Part No 1) in this kit is designed to accept either a Portscap RG7 motor or a Mashima 1833 motor. My preference is the double ended Mashima 1833 motor driving the middle and rear axle.
